Juice Cleanse + Giveaway WINNER

Day 3 of the cleanse was my best day yet. I wasn’t tired, was able to focus, and only had one sweet potato all day instead of the several other cheats I had brought myself, “just in case.” I actually wished I was doing the five day version of the cleanse, because I was just starting to get the hang of it (meals sans chewing). While it’s easier to stay  motivated for a three days versus five days, I didn’t feel like my digestive system really had time to catch up to the changes I was making, and at the end of the day, wasn’t sure if any detoxing actually occurred. The food cheats likely didn’t help.

I finished the juice cleanse at bedtime on Tuesday, and “celebrated” last night at what ended up being a five hour gourmet client dinner at Canlis. The food was deLISH and oh-so-rich… but too rich on my “cleansed” stomach. I started feeling ill during the meal and then, convinced not to let my filet mignon go to waste, ate the leftovers today for lunch and still feel sick, several hours later. This must mean my cleanse was successful if I am having this strong of reaction to meat after just three days of juice!! The Suja Juice instructions do tell you to ease back into normal foods after the cleanse, and I did tread lightly before dinner. But if you’re from the Seattle area, you know that if Canlis calls, you answer, throwing all dietary restrictions to the wind.

All in all, the Suja Juice cleanse was definitely an interesting experience, and I would do it again. If I had paid for the cleanse, I have to imagine I would’ve prepared my body in advance to maximize the results, which as mentioned earlier, I didn’t do. The biggest shock of all? I didn’t miss coffee!

And now to the GIVEAWAY (be honest, you all scrolled down, didn’t you?)
